Epicurean
Epicurean is a high-end grocery store, where you will find locally sourced delicacies from farms and businesses, including products made in-house. They offer a curated selection of artisinal products. They are a business that started small by making fresh pasta, and they are most known for their fresh, colorful ravioli.
They need a logo that represents their business. They want a logo that looks clean, but fun and representative of their roots of making fresh pasta.
I custom drew the type to get exactly what I wanted, taking inspiration from shapes of noodles, but making it look sleek, by using sharper edges instead of rounding the corners.
I also illustrated a picture of their grandmother, who founded the business and the love for ravioli-making. I wanted her imagery to take part of the branding, paying homage to their roots and history.
Their first products that they are launching are their famous, colorful, in-house made ravioli, and they want their packaging to stand out from all of the other ravioli packaging that you see in grocery stores.
They don’t have a budget, so I created a custom die-line, to include a “window” for customers to be mesmerized by the beautiful colors and patterns of the ravioli.
I also created whisical patterns, including ingredients from each ravioli flavor, to add to the packaging
